The Cathedral Transfiguration Church was the main temple of Pustozersk, where services could be performed by the clergy of several temples. The members of the clergy were paid an annual maintenance at the state expense - "three rubles and a half a year." The temple also owned fishing grounds and hayfields for rent. Another source of income for the temple was donations.
The collection of the State Budgetary Institution of Culture "Museum Association of the NAD" contains a box from Pustozersk Transfiguration Church for collecting donations. Instead of a lock to protect the contents, it has pass-through holes for a rope to seal the box.
The item was donated to the museum in 1992 by a resident of Oksino village Sheveleva A.A.
